European Youth Championships 2011

The draw for the 54th European Youth Championships (15 – 24 July, Kazan) was held today. In Russia next month will play 34 teams in Junior Boys Team Event, 32 in Junior Girls Team Event, 37 in Cadet Boys Teams Event and 35 in Cadet Girls Teams Event.

Titleholders in Junior Boys Event, France, is in the Group A with Russia, Germany and Romania. In Group B leading team is Belgium. They will meet vice champions from Istanbul 2010, Croatia, Italy and Czech Republic. Sweden is at the top of the Group C with England, Lithuania and Denmark, whilst Hungary is at the position no. one in Group D with Poland, Serbia and Slovakia.

Last year Romania clinched the title in Junior Girls Teams Event, and they are at the top of the Group D with Poland, Sweden and Luxembourg. Topping Group A is Germany, runner ups from Istanbul. Germany will play against Portugal, Netherlands and Slovakia. In Group B are Russia, Serbia, Czech Republic and Bulgaria. In Group C are Hungary, France, Belarus and Ukraine.
